Training topics include: Innovation Mindset, Types of Innovation: Innovation Process, Innovation Tools & Techniques, The Innovation Team, Uncertainty: Trial & Error, Mistakes & Failure, Prototyping, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Mega Trends, and Enemies of Innovation.

The Innovation Ideas Challenge is an open call for participation for all students of all majors around campus interested in questioning, investigating, and creating new ideas for our future. This year, the Student Innovation Center aims to focus on work around social innovation, social justice, care, environmental crisis, community engagement, public good, social changes, and wellbeing.
Be inspired and learn from amazing innovators who have a story to share.
The I-Fit program is specifically designed to give international high school students a one-of-a-kind college-level experience.
Faculty and staff are welcome to request a training session on Understanding Innovation to model and pass on the mindset and processes of innovation.
Innovation Programming hosts large scale events each semester to engage and encourage students to find out what excites them in the world of innovation.

Community members, Iowa State students, and track and field lovers gathered inside the Memorial Union on March 27th to learn what innovation and entrepreneurship are all about through the eyes of Allyson Felix as part of the Student Innovation Center Speaker Series.
Wrap-Up on the College-by-College Pitch-Off Finale
Passionate students exploring their innovation capacity competed in the College-by-College Pitch-Off Finale on March 2nd to a panel of judges. The Pitch-Off functions similarly to an episode of Shark Tank, where contestants have 90 seconds to pitch their idea and answer questions from the judges after.

Well, the Metal and Wood shop inside the Student Innovation Center is a one-stop shop for all your wood and metalworking interests. Our shop supervisors are excited to teach you how to work safely with these state-of-the-art machines.
