A collaboration with the College of Design, the Letterpress Lab offers a hands-on experience with the art of letterpress printing and an opportunity to explore the rich history of this timeless art.

Room 1222 is open by reservation only and closed on university holidays. Hours are subject to change.

3 Steps to Using the Makerspace

Complete Online Safety Training

Fill out the form below to specify your project or training request. Upon submission, you’ll receive a Canvas invitation for mandatory EHS safety training that must be finished before accessing the space.

Hands-on Training

Once you’ve completed the online training, register for a Letterpress 101 hands-on training.

Start Creating

After finishing the in-person training, you’re free to utilize the shop for your personal projects, class assignments, and more. Your creative journey begins.

Letterpress Lab Interest & Inquiry Form

Please allow 48 hours for a response or stop by the Makerspace during open hours if you have additional questions. Submitting this form will get you enrolled in the Canvas training course.
