Digital Signage Displays in the Student Innovation Center:

  • The event must be hosted in the Student Innovation Center or sponsored by the Student Innovation Center to be eligible for display.
  • All messages must be related to Iowa State University and pertain directly to students and/or the University audience.
  • Requests must be submitted through the Signage Request Form at least one week before the first day you want the signage to run. Designs must be approved by the Student Innovation Center prior to display, even if they have already been approved by Trademark and Licensing. Late requests may be considered, but are not guaranteed to run.
    • Digital signage must be submitted as JPG or PNG and formatted with an aspect ratio of 16:9 (1280×720 pixels, 1920×1080 pixels or 3840×2160 pixels).
    • Event must have been scheduled through our Event Request Form and/or be documented with our event coordinator before messages are displayed.
    • If your event was scheduled for one of the university classrooms through room scheduling, please let us know by emailing event details to sictrevents@iastate.edu so that our event coordinator can document the event and your messages can be displayed.
    • General meetings or recurring activities may be posted periodically, typically on the recurring event day. Specific recurring dates must be requested and included in the Signage Request Form.
    • Digital displays may ru for up to 2 weeks before the event.

 

Paper Signage/Displays On and Within the Student Innovation Center:

  • Per the Iowa State University Facilities and Grounds Use Policy, posters, advertisements, or other visual display materials are not allowed to be placed on or around the building.
    • Exceptions may be made for the day of an event if extra signage is needed for way-finding purposes. Please indicate your request for day-of directional signage on the Event Request Form.
      • The Student Innovation Center may be able to supply a limited number of 8.5×11 or 11×17 signage stands, 22×28 metal signage stands, or painter’s tape may be used if you have received an exception for wayfinding signage and the signage stands are already in use.

 

Day-Of Event Signage Stands:

  • The event must be hosted in the Student Innovation Center or sponsored by the Student Innovation Center to be eligible to use the signage stands for printed signage.
  • All messages must be related to Iowa State University and pertain directly to students and/or the University audience.
  • Designs must be approved by the Student Innovation Center prior to printing, even if they have already been approved by Trademark and Licensing.
  • Designs must be submitted through the Signage Request Form  at least 1 week before the first day of the event.
    • Event must have been scheduled through our Event Request Form and/or be documented with our event coordinator before messages are displayed.
    • If your event was scheduled for one of the university classrooms through room scheduling, please let us know by emailing event details to sictrevents@iastate.edu so that our event coordinator can document the event and your messages can be displayed.
    • General meetings or recurring activities may be posted periodically, typically on the recurring event day. Specific recurring dates must be requested and included in the Signage Request Form.
