The Student Innovation Center's first "All Makers' Eve: A SICTR Spooktacular event"
Skip To Main ContentThe event kicked off with a creative showcase competition that saw 29 talented creators present their creations, highlighting the endless possibilities that the Student Innovation Center Makerspaces have to offer. From original podcasts, to laser cutter designs, 3D printed sculptures and handcrafted items, the range of entries was great. Stop by the Student Innovation Center atrium between now and Nov. 9th to check out some of the pieces.

A 8 foot grim reaper, the Joker and the King of the North were all spotted at the Student Innovation Center along with a whole host of creative and sometimes spine-tingling costumes. The level of creativity displayed made it a tough competition to judge.

Attendees had a blast in the Digital Media Studio creating memories in the Halloween photo booth and even green-screening themselves into eerie movie scenes. The Visualization lab hosted a creepy VR experience, “Five nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted”. The perfect blend of technology and Halloween spirit.
The event also featured mesmerizing demos by the Gaffer’s Guild, adding a touch of artistry to the evening.
The caramel apple bar, candy and Ghostbusters movie wrapped up a great evening of fun showcasing the talented and creative students at the Student Innovation Center. Thanks to all who attended and stay tuned for our next event!
