Compete in the Student Innovation Fund Challenge!

The Student Innovation Fund Challenge (IFC) offers a unique opportunity, providing up to $15,000 in annual seed funding to interdisciplinary undergraduate student teams. Our goal is to nurture your journey from a raw idea to a “minimum viable product, service, or program” (MVX) throughout the academic year. Start your journey in our hands-on Innovation Workshops, designed to set you up for success in the IFC. Learn more about the IFC competition.

Join us on our Mindsets and Makerspace Tours. Discover innovation through our Mindset Workshop and Makerspace Tour at the Student Innovation Center. This program includes a 30-minute interactive mindset session to break mental barriers and unleash your creativity, followed by a one hour tour of the Student Innovation Center. The Making 101 Workshops are designed to teach you the basics of various equipment and software in the Student Innovation Center’s unique Makerspaces. Workshops count as the required hands-on training needed to use the Makerspaces. You can choose from a variety of topics, such as:

• Embroidery 101
• Woodworking 101
• Laser Cutter 101
• Podcasting 101
• Metalworking 101
• and more! 

To register for a Making 101 Workshop, you need to complete the required basic workshop safety training on Canvas for some Makerspaces. Explore and sign up for Making 101 Workshops.
