Digital Modeling and Visualization Lab Makerspace

Makerspace Hours

Makerspaces are closed from noon to 12:30 p.m. daily and on university holidays. Hours are subject to change.

3 Steps to Using the Makerspace

Login to Makerspace Tracker

Sign in to the Makerspace Tracker using your Iowa State credentials. Choose the Makerspace location you want to access, then browse the equipment dashboard to see what tools and trainings are available.

Complete Online Trainings

Before using the makerspace, you’ll need to complete an online training module specific to the equipment you want to use.

Register for Hands-on Training

After finishing the online training, sign up for a hands-on training session in the Makerspace. Once you complete it, you’ll earn a physical badge for that equipment or software—then you’re free to use them for class projects, personal projects, and more.

Room 2261 can be reserved for individual or collaborative work in the Digital Modeling and Visualization Lab. Booking the space in advance helps teams plan effectively and make the most of the lab’s immersive tools and resources.
